Lyrics
(Chorus)
Another rainy monday morning, can't wipe the sleep out of my eyes,
And once again those yester-raindrops draw my soul to yester-skies.
Another rainy monday morning, And thoughts of you are on my mind,
As I drift beyond the future to the life I left behind.

I float along a stream of thoughts and gaze upon the shores
Of plans and dreams I left behind, of days that are no more,
Of castles in the sand I knew that crumbled to the sea,
Of ugly people singing songs that were not meant for me.

I rain upon the daisies in the garden where you grew,
And splash into the empty jar of love that I once knew.
I touch the things that once were mine, and wet them with my tears.
Still they grow more distant in the mist of yester-years.

Repeat Chorus

Narrow at the source and winding slowly to the sea,
Flowing slower, ever widening, the river that is me,
The guiding shores of seasons past, where Autumn's Child did play,
Vanish in the distance as I wander on my way.

I do not want to leave the shores and vanish in the sea.
I think there must be more to shores, and more to destiny.
And so I'll drift into the clouds and visit you again,
Singing, oh so gently, in the Monday morning rain.

(Chorus)
Another rainy monday morning, can't wipe the sleep out of my eyes,
And once again those yester-raindrops draw my soul to yester-skies.
Another rainy monday morning, And thoughts of you are on my mind,
As I drift beyond the future to the life I left behind.
